Just
a short distance from the Baccaccio Square,
in the heart of Certaldo is this Tavern, where
the Tuscan cooking is the tradition, using
the original antique recipes; and there are
some very good Creative Plates. Among the Primi
of Specialites are: Onione Soup, Morelline
Artichoke Soup, Tuscan Vegtable Soup and Many
other Pasta Plates. Among the Second Plates
is the Trippa Fiorentina, and Tonno of the
Chianti , the Chianine meat, well Prepared
, and Baccala Portoghese style, and other plates
with seasonal products, always very fresh.
A very particular praise goes to the pastry
department, all the Dolci, cakes, sweets, are
carefully made by The Tavern, there are Cantucci
Sienese, Panforte, Ricciarelli, and the Florentine
cake filled with whipped cream, all year long
you can find them made, Another praise goes
to the Wine collection with 500 Tuscan labels
and to the wines served daily at bar. The Tavern
is open all year long except for 15 days in
August closed for vacation and during the year
it Is closed on Tuesday. It seats 20 guests,
accepts all credit cards, and it is preferred
that you reserve. For whom enjoys good wine,
